The costs of not getting L and D right or falling behind in this race have serious implications for business readiness. The workforce of tomorrow as well as the jobs of tomorrow will likely be very different from what they are now. This talent is not “off-the-shelf” and has to be developed. Therefore, L and D has to step up and deliver on the talent and capabilities necessary for enterprises to compete.
Also, it is important to recognize that the L and D space is continuously evolving, and nobody has all the answers. Therefore, leaders need to have an open perspective, I would say a ‘learner’s mindset’ as they approach the topic of L and D for their organizations.
